Early Steps

Hi all!  Yesterday I took Emma to be evaluated by a program called early steps.  They evaluate children in 5 different categories:  Gross/Fine Motor Skills(Using Hands and Feet), Self Help/Adaptive Skills(Eating and Dressing), Social/Emotional(Expressing and Responding to Feelings and Interacting with Others), Academic/Cognitive(Playing, Thinking, Exploring), and Receptive and Expressive Communication(Communicating).  The woman that tested her couldn't believe how well she understood and was able to do things especially after only being with us not even three months!  After all the testing was complete I was told that Emma was right on target with everything other than her speech- which I already knew!  She can say mama, dada, hi, and dog. It must be super confusing for her! She only knew Chinese for the first 15 months of her life!  Now, she is having to learn not only English, but Spanish as well(since my mother in law lives with us and only speaks Spanish!)    However, her babbling is constant and I know she will be talking up a storm before I know it!   Anyways, here are some more pictures to enjoy!
