Hi again from Guangzhou! Today was a free day for us! We of course started the day with a buffet breakfast and then headed over to the White Swan Hotel. The White Swan Hotel (which is closed for renovations) still has their restaurant open to the public and is known within the adoption community for the famous "red couch photos." We met our friends over their so that Emma and Elise could take their pictures together on the red couch. Emma does not really like to be sitting- especially alone so you can only imagine how the pictures turned out. Their were definitely no smiles- but overall they turned out okay! After our photo session we walked over to Starbucks and enjoyed a coffee. We then went back to the hotel where Miss Emma took a 1 hour nap. After her nap we played in the room for a bit and then went to the hotel playroom. Emma actually played with some of the toys- this was the first time she has done this! We are starting to see her personality more and more each day! Tonight we went to Lucy's for dinner. All the boys had a sirloin steak and the girls had a cheeseburger. I was NOT thrilled with the burger! Anyways- we came back to the hotel- but not before we bought a pair of squeeky shoes and gave Emma her bath. Pretty easy day! Only 4 more nights on the island before we leave to come home! Yeah! Enjoy the pictures from today!

She looks so totally happy and it melts my heart to know that you have saved her from who knows what kind of life. Look forward to he daily photos.

ReplyDeleteLove the update. Love the pics of her smiling! She looks itty bitty in the tub. How much did she weigh at her exam? Was it comparable to the updates you received? Still trying to decide what size clothing to take with us...
