Gotcha Day- I Year Ago Today!

I can't believe how time has flown right by!  Emma was placed in my arms one year ago today! She has changed so much in one years time!  She has gone from a lonesome, frightened, confused baby to a bright eyed, smart, lovable, playful, energetic, beautiful little girl!  We thank GOD each and everyday for allowing us to be her parents.   We have our "gotcha day" video completed for this special day.  Hope you enjoy it!

Georgia Trip: Part 1

I know it has been a while since I have last updated the blog!  Emma of course takes up most of my time so it is very hard to get a "free" moment.  Over the Martin Luther King Jr. weekend my hubby and I decided to take a driving trip to Georgia with our best friends of course!  JC's cousin has a beautiful 4 bedroom "cabin" off of Lake Hartwell and was gracious enough to let us stay there.  We had a wonderful time!  The cabin was breathtaking!  Waking up each morning overlooking the lake was spectacular!  We had plans for each day we were there.  The first day was driving.  We left at 3:50 AM and finally arrived around 8:00PM.  We stopped for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and took about an hour to visit with JC's cousin to pick up the keys to the cabin.

Day 2 of our trip began with Mimi's birthday.  We sang to her and she opened up her presents.  We then headed outside to take some pictures of the cabin and surrounding area.

                                                    Getting Emma all bundled up!

We had a visitor.  The kids named her "Mystery."

Our first destination: The Cabbage Patch Kids Baby Land General Hospital.  This is where the "babies" are born.  We were lucky enough to see this event take place.  Emma loved looking at all the baby dolls and playing with the accessories!

Of course we bought her a beautiful little "Asian" cabbage patch doll!

This is the baby we saw being "born."

They brought him out for any of the little ones to hold.

After leaving, we headed to Helen Georgia.  How beautiful!  It is a little German town with a wonderful river that runs through it.  We will definitely be back this summer to go tubing in that river!

Day 3 of our trip started with Emma wanting to open her doll.  After that, we were able to head out.  Destination:
Stone Mountain- Atlanta Georgia.

Yes, we had to take that cable car up to the mountain!

We ended the day with a little mini golf.
