Fifth Grade Party!

I can't believe my little boy is already graduating from 5th grade!  Yesterday was the 5th grade celebration- held in a ballroom at a country club!  Everyone had a great time!  The tables were nicely decorated, the room was large, and the kids had an awesome time dancing!  I couldn't believe that my son actually asked a girl from his class to the dance!  They were so cute dancing with one another!!  Might I add that they were the ONLY boy and girl dancing together!!!!  It really was a sight to see!   On another note, I had to leave Emma at home with a babysitter in order to go the party.  I wasn't sure how that would turn out... but I was happily surprised.  Once I left, she started crying and was looking for me throughout the house.  She eventually stopped crying after about 15 minutes and ate a litlle bit of food.  She even went down for her nap easily!  Thank goodness!  Here are some pictures of my "big boy" on his special day!  Enjoy!

One Sick Baby!

My poor little Emma was not feeling well on Sunday.  All day she was extremely clingy and ran a fever.  She would sit on my lap and put her head down on my chest-which of course is NOT normal for this little girl who is constantly on the move!  Super early Monday morning her fever reached 103!  So of course off to the doctor we went.  They checked her out and  had to clean out her ear wax in order to check that her ears were not infected!  Everything sounded and looked good- except the "5" teeth that are just breaking through!  That's right- 5 teeth!  Anyways, Monday and Tuesday she did not seem to get any better!  She had a terrible night on Tuesday sleeping!  In fact, on Wednesday morning her cough seemed evern worse!  Back to the doctors office we went!  Poor baby is now on a nebulizer treatment three times a day! Not only that, but  also has an ear infection to top it off!  Here is a picture of her on Sunday!  The other are just a couple from the past week!  Enjoy!

Beauty and the Beast

Last week was finally the production of Beauty and the Beast at my kids school!  This is not just a regular school play!  This is truly a production!  You would NOT think this was an elementary school show!  The costumes are made for each child in the play, the cafeteria is transformed into wall after wall of beautiful hand painted drawings from the show, and the children who have speaking roles are fitted for their microphones!   Each year our school does a musical themed show.  Here are just some pictures of my kids and others who were in the show.  Enjoy!

Mother's Day Continued

I had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday!  I was taken out to breakfast by my hubby and three kids.  Then we spent the afternoon just hanging out at home.  Nice and relaxing!  Around 4:00 my mom came over and then we all went out for dinner.  It was so nice to spend time with my family!  Yesterday was also my first Mother's Day with Emma!  I am so thankful to God for placing her with our family.  I also am thankful for her birth mom!  Without her Emma would not be a part of our lives!  Hope all you mommies out there had a great day!  Here are our pictures from Mother's Day!
