Preschool

Yesterday was Emma's first day of preschool!  I dressed her in her "school" uniform and took some pictures.  Once we arrived at the shcool, everyone welcomed us.  Her teachers were "ready" for her.  Her name was on her project folder and cubby!  As we looked around her class for a couple of minutes I knew it was time to hand her over to her teacher.  Of course she didn't want to go!  I told her mommy was coming back in just a little while and then left.  I watched her via cameras that are in every room from the office.  She was crying- and then her teacher got out Emma's little white towel- which I am sure eventually helped.  I left the school to bring my boys to camp and called Emma's school about 30 minutes later.  They told me she was doing great!  No more crying!  Yeah!  About an hour later I received two pictures of her sitting in a chair with a doll looking at a book!  Yes- the school will send pictures of your child during each and every day just to let you see what they are doing- love that!!!  Just before 12 which is around nap time I picked her up.  I walked into her room and she was sitting on the floor next to her teacher with some other kids playing with a toy.  A minute later she noticed me and came right over with the toy to show me.  That was it- her first day went great!  The director also told me that Emma ate really well at lunch time- picadillo, rice, yuca, and a roll!  Once we were home and Emma was napping I received another email with three more pictures of her- two of the pictures she was playing with a toy and the other she was eating!  Too cute!  Wow!  Can't wait to see how it goes today!

  1. Way to go on her first day! I too love that idea of them sending pictures during the day. Sure seems like a big lunch for a little girl.

  2. My sweet little ladybug off to school. She looks so precious in her school uniform. Guess I'd better get ready for my "day care" to begin again. Hey, it's hard to eat a roll with a spoon!
